She is complete! This is the first of what I hope to be several in my Natural Hair/Natural Beauty Series. I had so much fun painting this image that it only took me a few hours to create. Hope you enjoy!

Natural Hair Series

Natural Hair has become a MAJOR obsession of mine. I love the way it looks. I love the way it feels. I love how versatile it can be. I love twirling my curls between my fingers. To just get up and go and not worry about how the North Carolina humidity will frizz up my bone straight tresses can be so liberating. I LOVE MY HAIR!!!

So I figure.... Why not express it on canvas? What better way to glorify this feeling than to animate different aspects and styles of my hair?

 I decided to turn it into a sketch.

I had some free time during the day and created this. Its been a while since I have drawn anything. I didn't want it to look like me. I just used it's image as inspiration.

I'm a little rusty. But hopefully this series will help me to improve my skills.
